You guys will then place bids on whatever players you want. This will all be done on the message board, and each player will be awarded to the team who has held the high bid for at least 48 hours. Rating will determine contract length awarded. I don't have the specifics yet, but I can tell you that the higher the rating, the less the contract length. So, an 80 overall rated players will get less years than a 75 overall. You may bid on any number of players, but at no time can your total amount of money bidded exceed your current funds, or budget.
For example, on the finances page on the website(www.angelfire.com/games4/iforget) everyone has a "current funds" category. The amount of money in this category is the amount of money you have available to spend on free agents. If you have, say, 18 million in current funds, and you have the current high bid on "player 1" for 5.5 million, another high bid on "player 2" for 10.5 million, and another high bid on "player 3" for 2 million, you cannnot bid on any more players because you have reached your limit. However, if, for example, someone else then bids 11 million for "player 2", then you have 10.5 million free to bid how you see fit. If you have any questions on this, let me know.
You will bid for each player in his own proper thread. They will all be unlock on Saturday.

What is the minimum bid for any given player? Is it what they made last season or what they would have made if they were re-signed, according to the table in the constitution?

I'm glad you brought this up. The minimum bid is $150,000, which also happens to be the minimum pro salary.
Thanks
